Dear Faculty, Lecturers and TAs,

The LCLC and GH 308 are open Monday through Wednesday this week. There will be NO Greek or Italian conversation on Wednesday and NO EVENTS Thursday and Friday. We're back in full force for the last week of classes!

LCSL 505 is open for registration for Spring 2017! Love teaching? Thinking about looking for a job? LSCL 505 is a one-credit cousrse designed to help you integrate technology into current or future classes and begin to create an online teaching portfolio.  This Teaching Professional Development Workshop is co-taught by the Language and Culture Learning Center Director, Dr. Elizabeth Weber, and the LCLC Postdoc, Dr. Abigail Stahl.

Spring 2017! Do you have a project in mind but aren’t sure how to make it work? Are you looking for a way spice up an old course? Is there a technology that you’d like to learn more about or possibly use in your course? The LCLC is here to help! We have tech tools for every kind of project and can help you find the best way to integrate them effectively and meaningfully into your teaching. Email us at with all your questions!

A common German saying is that “Vorfreude ist die schönste Freude” (Anticipation is half the pleasure). In that spirit, we would like to introduce you to one of Germany’s oldest Christmas traditions: the advent wreath! German snacks will be provided
